Blue Diamond Industries was founded in 2004 by six managers of Moore DP, a manufacturer of metal cabinets to the cable TV industry.
The original Blue Diamond was a manufacturer of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) water tubing. When Moore acquired the business in 1997, they focused the company's efforts on HDPE conduit products to serve the cable TV, telecom and network construction applications. Moore grew the pipe business, adding plants in Kentucky, Oklahoma and Germany to support the growth. In 2004, these six managers of Moore purchased Blue Diamond Industries to operate a standalone business with the Kentucky manufacturing facility supporting the eastern half of the US.
Over the years, under the leadership of the six managers, Blue Diamond made and divested in multiple pipe technologies and manufacturing operations.
In early 2015, a severe snow storm devastated the production facility. Blue Diamond Industries made a significant investment in a new facility that could manufacture the complete innovative conduit product solutions utilized by communication and power industries to protect fiber optic, data and power cables. The Middlesboro, KY manufacturing capabilities and capacity has continued to expand to address the growing needs in the Power Utility, Cable TV, Broadband, Commercial & Industrial and Department of Transportation markets. Blue Diamond is dedicated to investing in our people and the Middlesboro facility to meet the needs of the marketplace.
